Riddle backs Jones as top fighter

Matt Riddle said Jon Jones remains the sport's leading fighter while speaking backstage at Real American Freestyle's RAF05 in Sunrise, Florida.

Riddle referenced past high-school wrestling encounters with Jones but Jones has reportedly disputed Riddle's version of those matches.

Riddle suggested a reunion bout could be arranged but acknowledged Jones would likely prevail if it happened.

Jones retired from MMA in June 2025 and is said to be considering a return linked to a White House celebration for America's 250th anniversary.

Riddle, a former UFC competitor turned pro wrestler, made the comments in early 2026 while promoting the RAF05 event.
