Novitzky denies UFC provided Lewis peptides

UFC senior vice president Jeff Novitzky has publicly rejected claims that the promotion supplied Derrick Lewis with peptides.

Lewis reportedly told listeners on a recent podcast he was taking what he called peptides provided by the UFC as he prepares for his Jan. 24, 2026 bout at UFC 324.

On Jan. 20, 2026 Novitzky wrote that the UFC did not give Lewis peptides and that the injections Lewis referenced were described as thirdโ€‘party tested products certified as allowed.

Peptides are prohibited under the promotionโ€™s antiโ€‘doping program, and some compounds can be hard to detect because of short detection windows, according to sources.

Additional details are reportedly being withheld by those involved.
