Dana White said Paddy Pimblett’s current run reminds him of Conor McGregor’s early story, according to comments to TMZ Sports.
Pimblett is set to challenge Justin Gaethje for an interim lightweight title this weekend at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as the promotion makes its Paramount+ debut.
The 31-year-old known as “The Baddy” enters the matchup with a 23-3 record and White suggested fans have often underestimated him.
A victory could reportedly lead to a later grudge fight with Ilia Topuria, though scheduling and confirmation remain uncertain.
