Gaethje vs Pimblett headline UFC 324

    Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett are scheduled to meet for an interim lightweight title at UFC 324.

    The card reportedly also features Sean O'Malley vs Song Yadong and a heavyweight clash between Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Derrick Lewis, along with several other fights.

    Veteran referee Mark Goddard is set to oversee the main event and three judges have been named for the bout.

    Some voices in MMA are warning about a surge of Russian contenders and say the outcome of the headliner would be beneficial for the promotion either way.

    Umar Nurmagomedov has indicated that a win may not immediately yield a title shot but that he aims for big opponents later in the year.

    Separately, a reported April return for Jose Aldo was denied by his camp, and Dana White also dismissed rumors of a White House-era matchup involving Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal.
