O'Malley reportedly took a unanimous decision after three rounds.
The win was his first in nearly two years and keeps him positioned for a potential title run.
Following the bout he is said to have pushed for a rematch with Petr Yan.
Yadong had been seeking his first title shot but fell short in the co-main event.
