Gaethje wins interim title as Topuria issues warning

Justin Gaethje reportedly won the interim UFC lightweight title in the UFC 324 main event, defeating Paddy Pimblett.

Lightweight champion Ilia Topuria reacted on social media with a sharp warning to Gaethje after the fight, according to reports.

Gaethje has said he is prepared to face Topuria and a meeting on June 15 at the White House event is being discussed.

The promotion reportedly raised its post-fight bonuses to $100,000 beginning with UFC 324 and announced additional payments for fighters who secure finishes.

Separately, former bantamweight titleholder Dominic Cruz was named a Hall of Fame inductee by the organization.
