Road FC denies subsidy misuse

Road FC's legal team released a statement on the 26th rejecting allegations that public grants were diverted.

The statement says the funds were allocated to run the event and that the organization reported financial losses linked to the festival.

Local police have reportedly accused the promotion of mishandling subsidies tied to the Wonju MMA Festival and announced on the 19th they would refer three related individuals to prosecutors the following day.

The lawyer said prosecutors will be asked to examine the full context, and Road FC has lodged complaints over alleged procedural irregularities and information leaks during the probe.

Further action is reportedly expected as the case moves to the prosecution.
