Abdelaziz defends Gaethje pay talks
Ali Abdelaziz said the UFC did present a contract proposal to Justin Gaethje around UFC 324 and defended Dana White's claim that an offer existed.
Gaethje had publicly questioned his cumulative fight-night bonuses and asserted he would not receive extra pay for that UFC 324 appearance before winning the interim lightweight title.
Abdelaziz acknowledged the proposal may not have met Gaethje's expectations and said discussions over compensation are being handled privately, with no ongoing public dispute.
The manager described pay talks as performance-linked and indicated Gaethje's recent victory improves his leverage in future negotiations.
Abdelaziz also said he will press for Gaethje to be placed on the June White House card, with a potential unification bout against Ilia Topuria reportedly being discussed.
