Ngannou omitted from PFL inaugural rankings

Francis Ngannou was omitted from the PFL's first public rankings, reportedly missing both the heavyweight and pound-for-pound lists.

Ngannou left the UFC for PFL in 2023 and made his promotion debut in October 2024; he is said to have one fight remaining on his initial contract.

PFL CEO John Martin characterized the lists as an opening snapshot that should adjust as fighters return to action over the coming months.

The rankings are being managed by Combat Registry, which compiles lists for other major MMA organizations.

Martin also indicated discussions are ongoing about a significant return for Ngannou, with the promotion reportedly targeting a 2026 appearance.
