Pimblett issues statement after UFC 324 loss

After suffering his first UFC defeat to Justin Gaethje in the UFC 324 main event on Jan. 24, 2026, Paddy Pimblett posted an Instagram message on Jan. 27, 2026.

In the post he thanked fans, accepted the result and conceded Gaethje had the better night, according to the statement.

Pimblett was reportedly taken to a Las Vegas hospital for precautionary scans after the fight, and those tests were said to be clear.

The loss halted a lengthy win streak but is being framed as a temporary setback rather than the end of his title ambitions.

A rematch or a swift return later in 2026 is reportedly being discussed as Pimblett looks to get back into championship contention.
