Petrino gets new opponent

Vitor Petrino will now face Steven Asplund on the March 14 card at the Meta APEX after Kennedy Nzechukwu was removed from the bout, reportedly.

Multiple sources confirmed the swap to MMA Fighting, while the reason for Nzechukwu’s exit has not been disclosed.

Petrino has been riding a winning streak since moving to heavyweight, and Asplund steps in following a recent knockout that propelled him to the UFC roster.

The change comes ahead of UFC Vegas 114, which features a headliner of Josh Emmett vs. Kevin Vallejos.
