Tsarukyan seeks forgiveness from UFC

    Arman Tsarukyan has publicly asked Dana White and UFC executive Hunter Campbell to forgive several incidents tied to his recent run in the lightweight division.

    He had been the promotion's top-ranked lightweight contender until Justin Gaethje won the interim title at UFC 324, a fight many feel Tsarukyan should have been in.

    Reportedly, a string of issues โ€” including an alleged altercation with a spectator at UFC 300, pulling out of a title fight during fight week with a claimed back injury, and a faceoff incident with another fighter โ€” hurt his standing with the promotion.

    Tsarukyan says he will eventually have surgery for the back problem and is attempting to mend his relationship with UFC leadership.

    His management is reportedly in talks with UFC officials as he seeks to regain a title opportunity.
