Volkanovski responds to Tsarukyan
Alexander Volkanovski addressed Arman Tsarukyan’s talk of dropping to featherweight for a title shot.
Volkanovski, who meets Diego Lopes in a rematch at UFC 325 this Saturday, said he welcomes difficult opponents and would consider Tsarukyan a strong test if the move happens.
Tsarukyan is scheduled to fight on Feb. 28 for RAF and has reportedly discussed a move to 145 pounds to chase the belt.
Volkanovski also flagged contenders Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy as logical next challengers while noting Jean Silva’s recent win was impressive but may not yet justify a title opportunity.
