Volkanovski says Silva hasn't earned a title shot

Jean Silva reportedly picked up a pivotal win over Arnold Allen at UFC 324 on Jan. 24, 2026.

After that victory Silva pushed for a crack at the winner of this weekend’s UFC 325 headliner in Sydney.

Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski praised Silva’s performance but indicated Silva has not yet done enough to justify a title challenge, favoring a matchup between Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy instead.

Volkanovski is focused on his rematch with Diego Lopes at UFC 325 and is not expected to look past that fight.

Matchmaking could still shift, and further updates are reportedly being discussed.
