Dos Anjos undergoes third knee surgery

Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos reportedly had a third knee operation within a 14-month span on Wednesday.

The issues are said to originate from an October 2024 fight with Geoff Neal, when he sustained tears to his ACL and meniscus.

He previously underwent procedures in Brazil and in Austin, with sources indicating complications affected his comeback timeline.

Dos Anjos, 41, is reportedly targeting a return for what would be his 50th professional bout and hopes to be back by summer while focusing on recovery.

He is also said to be planning to open a gym in Austin this spring.
