Muhammad picks Lopes over Volkanovski

    Belal Muhammad says he sides with Diego Lopes to beat champion Alexander Volkanovski in the UFC 325 main event reportedly scheduled for Saturday in Sydney.

    Muhammad pointed to Lopes' ability to force action and unsettle Volkanovski as the reason for backing the underdog, while urging the champion to rely on jabs, kicks and range control to avoid trouble.

    He acknowledged Volkanovski's strong showing in their first meeting but questioned whether the champion will arrive with greater motivation or adjustments for the rematch.

    Muhammad also noted Volkanovski was hurt in their prior bout and suggested Lopes must press early to create opportunities.
