    DEEP

Deep is a mixed martial arts (MMA) organization based in Nagoya, Japan, founded in 2001 by Shigeru Saeki. Initially known as "Deep 2001," it became known simply as "Deep" in 2003. Deep has played a key role in the Japanese MMA scene as a platform for discovering new talent. The organization has also been at the forefront of promoting women's MMA. Through its subsidiary brand, Deep Jewels, it consistently hosts women's MMA events and supports the development of Japanese female athletes. Furthermore, it was relatively early in incorporating modern systems into its weight division system and match management. The men's weight divisions followed the Nevada state weight division standards, and the organization has experimented with various methods, including cage competitions ("Cage Impact") in addition to the ring.
